So Long Florida...

As our last fun Florida Weekend, we headed down to Key West to visit my Aunt and Uncle. Saturday we had a great time out on the boat. The weather was BEAUTIFUL. We did some fishing, saw a sea turtle, some dolphins and just enjoyed the sun. We also enjoyed our last yummy Cuban meal with all the fixins! Overall it was a very full day for all of us, especially Clementine. She really enjoyed all of the action and attention she was getting. She wanted nothing to do with going to sleep even though I knew she was plumb tuckered out! FINALLY she gave in and passed out on her Great Uncle David. They looked so cute together!

Sunday we enjoyed our Mother's day. We all went to brunch at the Sail Fish Club and enjoyed a fabulous feast! Overall a wonderful weekend. Thank you David and Louanna for hosting us!

Just a little Rambunctious...

Clementine has become quite the active little girl. This is how I found her after her morning nap today. When I put her to bed she was at the opposite side of the crib with her body completly filpped around. All of her pillows and toys that were neatly diplayed in the corner of the crib were pulled down and strewn about. I am always finding her in some interesting new positions. The other day I found that she had pulled herself up on the side of the crib! I was scared she was going to flip out. Looks like it's time to lower the crib mattress.

Clemie has advanced from rolling to tumbling. She's can maneuver herself all over the floor. She is really trying to crawl. She can get herself into position, but doesn't quite have the strength to go anywere yet. She eventually collapses on her face and gets pretty frustrated. It's hard to watch her struggle, but she has to learn and get stronger. She'll do it soon I know!

Changing diapers and clothes up on the changing table has become quite the ordeal. She doesn't want anything to do with it. She hates it when any of her freedom of movement is restrained and fights to wiggle out of any position you are trying to get her in. She is quite the little bugger!!

Clemie is becoming such a fun girl. She giggles, smiles, and speaks in her own secret language all the time. She has also grown quite attached to her mommy. She crys when I leave her sight of vision. She's learing to make it through the night without me, but are still dealing with some set backs. It's very hard to ignore her if she crys for me in the night. We're working on that one. I guess it's just nice to feel loved and needed, so I continue to sacrafice my my sleep!

There has been a change of plans.....

As most of you know, it was our plan to move to Denver once Brent finished dental school and for him to find a job there. Well graduation is just a couple of weeks away now and there has been a change of plans. Brent was offered a great opportunity to go to Yale University to continue his education and do a General Practice Residency at the Yale-New Haven Hospital. So for the next year we will be living in New Haven, Connecticut. I'm still in a little bit of shock, but we are both very excited. We have never had a chance to experience "city life" so this will all be very new to us. We are very excited to explore this part of the country and do everything that the surrounding areas have to offer. This will also give Brent the opportunity to learn many new things that will give him a huge boost to his career once he finishes. I'm a little nervous about the weather. I'm not too sure how I'm going to adjust from the year round average temperature of 80 degrees to the few days of the summer that it might actually reach that temperature. Lets just say I'm going to have to buy a whole new wardrobe and I probably won't be leaving the house much during the winter. Wish me luck!
